artsPlace is Canmore's community arts Centre - a welcoming, user-friendly space where Bow Valley residents and visitors can gather to explore, discover, and celebrate the adventure of art and creativity through a full range of classes, workshops, camps, performances, films, and exhibits.

Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity is the largest arts and creativity incubator on the planet. Our mission is inspiring creativity. Over 8,000 artists, leaders, and researchers from across Canada and around the world participate in programs at Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity every year. Through its multidisciplinary programming, Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity provides them with the support they need to create, to develop solutions, and to make the impossible possible.

In the new 3600 square foot home of the Canmore Museum and Geoscience Centre be a witness to the days when long long ago Canmore was on the edge of warm shallow sea. Coal later defined the economy and character of the community during a time when music and outdoor sports like hockey and speed skating (on the Bow River) kept people active.

The mission of the Canmore Public Library is to provide quality library service to the community. The Canmore Public Library believes that lifelong learning and literacy are essential to individual growth and enrichment, and that Canmore residents have a right to reliable access to information, cultural and leisure multimedia resources.
